BARK! BARK BARK!

Picture 3

BAG! CELLPHONE! FLATSCREEN!

Our house was robbed yesterday before lunch, all of our jewelry, some clothes, bags, my daughter’s rechargeable light with fan and radio, digital camera, cash, credit card, cellphone, two bags of clothes for Ondoy victims and Samsung flat t.v. were taken.

The person responsible for this is our daughter’s nanny. Witness told me and the police that there was a blue green Honda CRV parked at our house, she was seen with two men, one tall and one heavy built wearing a beige baseball cap. This took place while my wife and  I were at our workplace, only my mom and our 2 year old daughter were present at our house during the robbery.

Thank God they were not harmed or taken, and to think we live in a very strict and secure village, these people are highly organized and have access to different villages.

I’m sending this message and picture to be of help to the authorities, that they be able to arrest her and her accomplices. We know her as Marriane Bollongay (picture attached)

We recruited her from IVYLANA Manpower Services or ILMS, located at 48 B Kamias Road, West Kamias, Q.C.

Thank you!

Charles

San Juan Police: 724-25-15

She has many phone numbers that were stored in the cellphone she took.

Balikatan Moment!

General Nakakapit sa Balikat

General Nakakapit sa Balikat!

A couple of days ago, an embarrasing scene was shown on tv when a ”Flip” general was carried on someone’s shoulder so he wouldn’t get wet when he stepped off a bangka boat.  The American officer on the other hand waded on the water and stepped on the bangka without any help.

Let me start by Formally introducing myself to you. I am Attorney Kiyoko Itoman  a Legal Practitioner representing Rev. Fr. FELIPE LITTAWA ,  My late client was a 68 years Old Filipino Catholic Reverend Father who came here in Nigeria in the 1945 with a black Missionary Rev. Sister; He left Philippines at the age of five(5), after The Japanese invading of the Philippines. He said the experience is cataclysm. However, he lived all his life here and owned an NGO which receives Financial Aid (Grant) from the United Nation and other conglomates. He died of Asthma attack, and since then no one has come forward to claim this fund he deposited in a Bank here, which he intend to use in establishing a foundation for Charity homes and orphanage centers in third world countries as he has been doing secretly.

Also to the issue-Based on my relationship with my client, he informed me of some wonderful ideas he wants to embark on which was to build one or two  churches  around the third wave countries and Asia and also donate monies to churches, and also to less privilege homes around the globe too with this deposit of US$2.800.000.00m he made through a CODED account in his local bank here in Africa which he gave me the CERTIFICATE OF DEPOSIT to keep as his lawyer.

THE BANK Chairman and Members of the Board of Directors, had just started arrangement for the fund to be declared “Unclaimed” and subsequently be donated as trust fund for arms/ ammunition to further enhance the course of War in Africa for their selfish political interest/investment. In order to avert this negative development, I hereby need your cooperation in order to see that the Will of my late client is actualized. I can never achieve this objective without a trustworthy foreigner and this is where you come in.
However, I want to seek your consent to present you as a relative to My deceased client by virtue of Power of attorney. As attorney to the deceased the responsibility to establish your relationship with my client rest on me and to achieve this objective, there are judicial processes involved, which I will brief you on subsequent correspondence if you indicate interest. Also take note that this is 100% risk free and legal.

I am not pursuing this claim for the financial gain. It is a duty I owe to my late client who unfortunately was an orphan with no existing relatives and even as I intend to use part of the funds to establish a foundation in his name; notwithstanding you will be adequately rewarded for your assistance in this endeavor I have decided to offer you 30% of the said funds. Expecting to hear from you as soon as possible, you can contact me on my direct private email:  itomankiyoko@yahoo.com and  while replying include your direct mobile phone so I can give you a call immediately for further details.

Bad Kalokohan in Edsa

MANILA, Philippines – The next time you’re in a taxi passing through Edsa be sure that all the doors of the vehicle are locked, especially if you’re caught in slow-moving traffic.
The Mandaluyong police issued this warning to the public Tuesday in response to a criminal syndicate using young boys to rob cab drivers and their passengers.
Senior Superintendent Carlos de Sagun, Mandaluyong police chief, said the modus operandi usually involved a pair of youngsters with one distracting the driver by knocking on his side of the vehicle while his cohort opened the door on the passenger side.
“Since the driver is distracted, the other can filch his earnings [on the dashboard] from the other side,” De Sagun said.
The official added that since the thieves were minors, they often would get away with the crime and would just be sent to the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
In May, operatives of the Mandaluyong police’s Special Operations Group arrested two minors – a 13-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy – for allegedly staging a “bukas kotse [open car]” heist on Edsa.
The operation was conducted in response to a complaint filed by Jesus Palmos, a resident of Makati City, who wrote the police regarding the modus operandi.
The minors later told investigators they were working for two men who were arrested in follow-up operations from May 21 to May 22 on Edsa, De Sagun said.
They were identified as Rodolfo Repollo Jr., 21, and Jerry Cordero, 22, both suspected members of a criminal gang. They were later released after posting bail on theft charges, the police said.
People, let us all be aware.
I myself witnessed the same type of criminal activity (see email below) right in front of me while driving along EDSA.
1st incident:  taxi in front of me was being forcefully opened by three boys, one on the driver’s side, two on the passenger side.  The passenger forgot to lock her door, they were able to take away her purse and some grocery bags.  This happened near Robinson’s Pioneer (just after Guadalupe bridge).
2nd incident, taxi being opened by two boys, passenger side at the back.  However, these were all locked. This happened along Edsa fronting Megamall.
Although they almost always target taxis only, private cars must also become aware of this modus.
GUYS, DON’T FORGET TO LOCK ALL SIDES OF THE TAXI EACH TIME YOU RIDE A TAXI/CAB/FX.

Bad Kalokohan Experience

Honesty is always the best policy. Let’s not tolerate these kinds of incidents even how petty it is. These things are like cysts, if left untreated, could lead to cancer.

And now the incident (source: http://chuvaness.com)

Somebody has got some explaining to do

I hate to be the whistle blower against people who need jobs, but being a business owner who has experienced one too many inside jobs, I feel like I have to warn other business owners about thievery within their stores.

Last June 17, I went to Breadtalk in Megamall to buy baon for my son. I was second in line at the cash register. While the cashier was ringing up the person in front of me, she took a look at my tray and said, “One hundred forty six pesos.”

So I thought, wow! Mathemagician! How did she ring that up in her head. I was impressed.
I gave her the sackamount (exact amount) and she put my bread in little plastic bags and handed it to me.
I was surprised, or rather suspicious that she didn’t ring up my purchases in the cash register, so the good citizen that I am, I asked for a receipt.

That’s when she punched the items. Lo, and behold, the total was only Php 138, so she in fact had to give me back eight pesos I overpaid. And then she apologized. I gave her a really dirty look and made a mental note to blog it because corrupt cashiers are so annoying!!

receipt

You sure made my day! Someone please email this blog entry to Breadtalk.

So I vowed to blog small incidents of corruption from now on.
Sometime in May we received reports there were problems in our own store, so Jeroen and I were a little bit stressed.

I sat down in Dulcinea, Rockwell to indulge in churros con chocolate. A few minutes later Jeroen plopped down on the banquette and ordered Diet Coke.

When it was time to go, Jeroen asked for the bill. The waiter said, “It’s 200.”
So I thought, wow, since when did we get a bill rounded off to 200 pesos. F*cking amazing.
Jeroen paid up. When the receipt came, only the churros con chocolate were punched in. The Diet Coke was not and the waiter gave a few coins as change. He also mentioned the Diet Coke was not in the receipt. I wondered why.

I smelled corruption, but Jeroen was not in the mood to dispute it as we were having problems of our own. (Unfortunately I did not keep the receipt of that incident. Next time I will.)

A couple of days later, we consulted a successful Chinese restaurant owner who told us there’s this racket he experienced where he caught staff selling their own canned drinks at the restaurant (with no receipts), so the business owners lose on the drink orders.

No wonder one of Makati’s most happening bars lost business. Their waiters were selling their own bottles/drinks. When those ran out, only then would they sell the bar owners’ drinks at 1 AM.

To all our visitors, please contact us if you have any “Bad Kalokohan” experience, so that we can feature it here and make people aware of those scams, rip-offs, etc.
